| On the second day Paddy Sim's sister, Sheila
Napaljarri Brown, joined in to help with the painting. She frequently
paints from the Milky Way/Night Sky cycle of stories and was meant
to have gone on the bush trip but couldn't make it. She is an excellent
painter in her own right. The "Japaljarri mob" occupied
one end of the porch while smaller groups of women were spread out
towards the other end. The sun is popular in the morning for warming
old bones but most artists are content in the shade by midday. |
