| Betsy Napangardi Lewis takes a break from
goanna hunting to enjoy some Log Cabin chewing tobacco. Betsy is
a painter of growing reputation as well as a formidable presence
at the art center, where along with fellow Napangardi, Judy Watson,
she can be found hard at work most days, painting the Mina Mina
Dreaming, the story of how women received their digging sticks.
Betsy's father was kurdungurlu or "policeman" for
the stories of Paddy Sim's country before he passed away. |
