This is the foot of the Great ancestral hunter Gurramurringu. it is a wonderful illustrationof how aboriginal people see the world they live in as marked by the tracks of the ancestor spirits and the lingering traces of their ancestral power. It also shows how Malangi now as an older man has in some ways simplified his ways of storytelling becominmore minimal abstract and econmoical.
